The whole debate about digital music, at the moment, seems to rest on whether it’s better to buy or to rent. The simple fact is that if there was more interoperability, folks would gladly do both. SmartMoney takes a rather dry but informative trip through the case for the prosecution and the defence – makes a nice balance against the subscription rant from N….., which is a fine service but I really wish their marketing peple would wake up and focus on their strengths instead of stating we’re not Apple, look at Apple, bad Apple yadda yadda. People want to be convinced, converted and positive about what can still be an overly technical and fiddly digital music experience- hence iTunes/iPod success – “nice n easy does it every time”
