Napster is hoping to match Apple’s expected iTunes phone launch next week by announcing that new smartphones that operate on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 2003 platforms, will be compatible with the service’s Napster To Go service. The premium price plan allows users to transfer and listen to an unlimited number of tracks from the service’s 1.5 million-plus song catalog. A limited US launch came earlier this year and a UK service launch is expected within the next 6-8 weeks.
