The MOBO awards started quietly 10 years ago but have grown into a major force in the British music space. Napster is partnering with the awards this year, sponsoring one award but more interestingly providing a streaming service covering all the artists featured as well as a ‘ready to burn’ compilation album.

Napster has shown itself to be far faster on the ground reacting to local events in the UK compared to the market leader iTunes, which is in no part down to the fact that it has a local programming team in-country rather than a centralised programming team in California. The weather may be better there but the local music trends and tastes are here Steve.
