Snocap, music provider for legalised peer-to-peer digital music services now has a full house, having signed a deal with Warners Music. It now has all the big four labels signed up and with legal P2P services about to break through in the form of iMesh and Mashboxx, the new year will be even more interesting for digital music fans.

Shawn Fanning is the big name associated with Snocap but there are a number of powerful media execs involved with the company as well, such as Jeff Mallett from Yahoo! Though entirely unproven, legal P2P service offer the promise of a system and user experience more favoured by consumers than the structured and stylised offering s from iTunes, Napster et all. The biggest issue, aside from price, will be the catalogue depth on offer. That’s if the technology really works!
