Motorola has done a survey of digital music lovers around Europe and the findings show that UK music fans are leading the way. On average, Brits spend 75p a month each on downloads, three times that of the Germans, for example. British uptake of digital media including TV, radio as well as digital audio players has put the country ahead of the European curve and that adoption is spread across the age range as well.

Apple recently passed 100 million downloads across Europe and Napster launched its service in Germany this month as well.
