I’ve heard of cherry coke, coffee coke (really revolting) but now, in the digital music sphere, we have Apple Coke! Yes, no sooner are the doors about to close on Coca-Cola’s Windows Media-based music store MyCokeMusic, than new doors will open as Coke and Apple work co-operatively on iTunes. Makes perfect sense really, as Coke cut their costs, focus on marketing and go with the market leader by some margin. An interesting question is how far down the road of white labelling Apple might be tempted to go with iTunes. Given the company’s preferred mode of keeping all its cards very close to its chest then that migth be a big leap for them. Still, Prince is in the market for a white label store having shuttered his New Power Generation store.
