The Association of Independent Music, AIM, has signed a deal with arvato, which provides peer-to-peer services through its gnab network. Aravato has a number of deals already in place around Europe and has also signed licences with all the major labels.

Aravato/gnab allows online retailers to tap into a download library but also a licensed P2P system that rewards users for sharing protected or legal content. AIM/aravato will start witha focus on music but will look to subscriptions and video later
