Hopefully the first of many posts on this theme, Ministry of Sound is making a catalogue of more than 60,000 dance tracks availabel free of DRM as MP3 files. Admittedly, they’ll cost more than their DRM-encrusted competitors at 99p per track as opposed to 79p but of course the MoS will work on any player or MP3-compatible mobile phone more importantly given MoS’ target market.

Lohan Presencer, managing director of the MoS Group, said in The Times: “DRM is a nonsense. It only succeeds in limiting choice and people still steal music regardless.”

Yup.
