The iPod fever rages on with Apple reporting sales of more than 21 million iPods during the festive season. New models from iRiver, SanDisk and Microsoft’s Zune all launched in that period with Zune garnering just 2% of the market. Apple remains dominant across the board around the world. iTunes also announced it had sailed past the 2 billion songs mark in early January.

However, not all is rosy in the Apple garden with US federal authorities taking the time to interview Steve Jobs with regard to the festering issue of stock options. Some high-level heads have rolled and more may yet follow.
