Almost there for iTunes as Apple has released an update to the software that’s got new help files covering the DRM-free downloads that will be available from EMI and a few other labels. Higher priced but also encoded at higher bitrates, the downloads are due to be available in the next week or so.

One surprising addition is the music from Paul McCartney, whose new album Memory Almost Full will be available through the store and also his catalogue. The Beatles? Ah well, the door is open but no one’s stepping through yet.
