Radiohead have ridden the wild waves of the honour system but the ride is pulling into the end station (not sure who will ride it next). The band is about to release the album on paid CD in the US and UK and will shutter the In Rainbows website.

The album has been available as complete set from 7Digital as a paid download and talks are continuing with iTunes, which would be a first as the band has previously steered clear of the digital music monster as they didn’t want their albums available as individual tracks.

The band have contradicted the press reports that the majority of people paid nothing to download the album and on the In Rainbows website said: “A big thank you to everyone who came and downloaded the music. It’s been the most positive thing we’ve done and we hope you shared the experience with others.”
