I have to confess that I’m firmly of the opinion that as a rule Sky TV is bad. Recycled cop shows, dodgy ‘reality’ shows – world’s worst car crashes etc but that opinion was severely dented this morning when I watched The Book Show on Sky 3.

An original production, presented by someone who clearly know what she’s talking about and doesn’t rely on a script for every word, and is clearly built with a timeline in mind as well as a close relationship with the web.

It wasn’t perfect but I felt interested, informed and impressed after half an hour.

Still not enough to get me to part with my readies for a Sky subscription but certainly enough to adjust my obviously under-informed view.
