R.E.M. and Warner Music are embracing new forms of digital music distribution, well exposing their music anyhow. From 24 March, the band’s excellent new album Accelerate (trust me, I’ve heard it, it’s great R.E.M.) will be available for music lovers to sample through I Like on Facebook.

There’s an interesting mini battle between Facebook proper and I Like over who will be the mainstay of music on the social utility with Facebook prepping artists pages and I Like an application servicing the various social networks on the platform. Surely, they’ll work together?
