Apple’s iTunes is now officially the biggest music retailer in the US – the whole world is bound to follow. With a catalogue of more than 6 million tracks, sales in excess of 4 billion, price cuts in Germany and the UK and the distinct possibility of a subscription service, it’s going to be super hard for the competition to make inroads.

The sooner DRM is replaced/destroyed, the sooner the playing field will flatten and then things will get really interesting…
