Surprise, surprise, teens and other music lovers would be willing to pay for their digital music according to a new survey. Well, what a surprise. Such a shame that due to short-sightedness, the digital music sector is such a state where the hurdles to purchase and fair usage are many and tricky to negotiate.

It’s taken nearly eight years for the music labels to wake up, smell the coffee and finally realise that ease of use (i.e. MP3) is a crucial step for them to take. it’s been proven that providing easier access to music means more music is sold and yet we’re still only creeping, inch by inch, towards a more consumer-friendly proposition. And that’s only the web, don’t even start to think about platform interoperability!
